George Washington
Amity Series

Connecting those who Seek Truth and Love God

  • Bringing Muslims and Christians together to celebrate the 230th anniversary of America's longest standing treaty: The Treaty of Friendship and Amity, ratified by the Continental Congress in 1787.
  • Helping Christians and Muslims to:
        * Connect with and Comprehend one another, and Clarify what being an
                 authentic believer means.
        * Learn how to express divergent viewpoints while maintaining civility and
                 respect.
        * Go beyond "religious dialogue" and get to know one another as
                 individuals, professionals, and families.
        * Erase the disparity between the media image of our faith communities
                  and our everyday realities.
        * Discover how our traditional values give us more in common than
                 what separates us.

1st Imam and Pastor Dinner:
 McLean, Virginia - 2012

We held our fist public event at a private home in McLean, Virginia. We were privileged to host about 50 imams, pastors and their wives, as well as lay leaders of mosques and churches.

The evening was spent in rich discussion of experiences of life as a leader of a community of believers. Adding to the enjoyment was a wonderful Moroccan meal.
